Step 1 · Pick Your Gutter Size

5-inch or 6-inch K-style. Same install. Different capacity.

Your roof's surface area, pitch, and number of valleys decide which size makes sense. We'll measure on site and recommend — but most Triangle homes with even a moderate roof do better on the 6".

5 "

K-Style · Standard

The most common residential size. Fits most older Triangle homes that originally had 5" gutters and don't have a steep roof or large drainage area.

  • Capacity: ~4,500 sq ft of catchment
  • Best for moderate roofs & light tree coverage
  • 2"×3" downspouts (standard)
  • Lower material cost

Step 2 · Pick Your Gutter Guard

Three guard systems. One that's right for your trees.

We install three premium guard systems — Hallett's DuraFlo solid cover, Hallett's Dynamic Flo micro-mesh, and Gutterglove's LeafBlaster Pro — because no single guard is right for every house. The right pick depends on your tree mix, roof pitch, and rain volume. Here's what we install and what each one's actually best for.

Solid Hood Cover

Hallett DuraFlo

By Hallett · Surface-Tension Hood

A solid .024-gauge aluminum hood with Hallett's reverse-S curve. Surface tension pulls water around the nose into the gutter while leaves, pine needles, and seed pods fall off the front. Hidden under the first row of shingles — virtually invisible from the ground.

Lifetime Warranty
8 Color matches
  • Best-in-class for oak leaves & large debris
  • Invisible from the ground — no visible mesh
  • Heavy .024 aluminum — handles ice & snow load
  • Color-matched to your gutters
Best for Homes with heavy oak coverage, multi-story houses where ladder-cleaning is dangerous, and homeowners who want a clean, hidden look.

Stainless Micro-Mesh

Hallett Dynamic Flo

By Hallett · Surgical-Grade Stainless Mesh

Surgical-grade stainless steel micro-mesh on a rigid aluminum channel frame. Tight enough to keep out pine needles, shingle granules, and seed pods — yet engineered for high flow during the Triangle's heaviest spring storms.

Lifetime Warranty
Stainless Won't rust or warp
  • Stops pine needles cold
  • Blocks shingle granules from clogging downspouts
  • Rigid frame — strong enough to walk on with care
  • Stainless mesh — no rust, no warping
Best for NC homes with pine trees nearby (most of the Triangle) or any roof shedding granules onto the gutter.
LeafBlaster Pro stainless steel micro-mesh gutter guard installed under shingles
Z-Bend Micro-Mesh

LeafBlaster Pro

By Gutterglove · Patented Z-Bend Tech

Gutterglove's patented Z-Bend technology lifts debris off the mesh so it blows away naturally rather than clogging the surface. Surgical-grade stainless steel mesh, anodized aluminum frame, and the highest flow rate of any guard we install.

40-Year Limited Warranty
Z-Bend Self-shedding profile
  • Z-Bend lifts debris off so it blows away
  • Highest flow rate — handles steep roofs & storms
  • Non-combustible — passed ASTM E84 fire testing
  • Keeps out mosquitoes, wasps, birds, rodents
Best for Steep roofs that dump water fast, homes in heavy-rain zones, and homeowners who want maximum debris-shedding performance.

Why Guards Pay For Themselves

Open gutters in the Triangle? You're cleaning them 4× a year.

Pine needles in spring. Oak leaves in fall. Helicopter seeds in summer. Shingle granules anytime. The Triangle's tree mix is brutal on open gutters — and a clogged gutter is the leading cause of fascia rot, foundation leaks, and ice damming.

Open gutters

What you've been living with

  • Clean them 3–4× per year (or pay $200/visit)
  • Climb a ladder onto a steep roof — every time
  • Heavy rain overflows, splashes the foundation
  • Trapped wet leaves rot the fascia board
  • Mosquitoes breed in standing water

StormSafe gutters + guards

What we install

  • No more cleaning. Ever. (lifetime warranty)
  • No ladders. No climbing on a wet roof.
  • Water flows where it should — away from foundation
  • Fascia stays dry. Boards last decades longer.
  • No standing water. No mosquitoes. No mold.

Why StormSafe For Gutters

Same crew that does our roofs. Same standard.

Most roofers sub out gutter work. We don't. Our gutter installers are W-2 employees, FORTIFIED-trained, and held to the same workmanship standards as our roof crews.

Truly seamless

We roll your gutter on site from a single coil — no seams to leak except at the corners. Most "seamless" installers piece together 20-foot sticks. Real seamless means one piece per eave.

Hidden hangers, not spikes

We use hidden screw-in hangers every 24" — not the old spike-and-ferrule method. Stronger hold, no visible fasteners, and they don't pull out when ice loads up.

Bundled with roof installs

Replacing your roof? Add gutters and guards to the same project and save on labor — one crew, one mobilization, one day. We coordinate sequencing so nothing gets damaged.

25+ color matches

From classic white and bronze to deep navy and matte black. We bring physical color sticks to your quote so you can see them against your trim in real light — not on a phone screen.

One-day turnaround

Tear-off, install, and cleanup all in a single day for most homes. Multi-story or extensive runs may take two. Your driveway and yard get magnetic-swept before we leave.

Lifetime guard warranties

Hallett DuraFlo and Dynamic Flo are backed by lifetime manufacturer warranties; LeafBlaster Pro is backed by Gutterglove's 40-year limited parts warranty. If a guard ever fails — clogs, breaks, peels, anything — the manufacturer replaces it. We handle the warranty claim so you don't have to.

Gutter & Guard FAQ

Quick answers, no fine print.

How much do gutters cost in the Triangle? +

For a typical Triangle home (~150 linear feet of seamless K-style 5" or 6" gutter), most projects fall in the $1,800–$3,800 range depending on size, color, and number of stories. Adding gutter guards typically adds $8–$14 per linear foot. We bring exact pricing to the on-site quote.

Should I pick 5" or 6" gutters? +

If your roof is small with low pitch and you don't get heavy rain runoff, 5" is fine and cheaper. If you have a medium-to-large home, a steep roof, valleys, or you're adding gutter guards, go with 6". The extra capacity prevents overflow during the Triangle's heavy spring storms — and pairs better with screened guards.

Which gutter guard is the best? +

There's no universal "best" — it depends on what falls on your roof. Hallett DuraFlo(solid surface-tension hood) is best for heavy oak leaves and homes where invisibility from the ground matters. Hallett Dynamic Flo(stainless micro-mesh) is best for pine needles and shingle granules. LeafBlaster Pro(Gutterglove's Z-Bend stainless mesh) is the highest-flow option for steep roofs and heavy storms. We'll recommend at the quote based on your trees.

Will gutter guards damage my shingles or warranty? +

Not when installed correctly. We never lift shingles or slide guards under the first course in a way that voids manufacturer warranties. All three systems we install — Hallett DuraFlo, Dynamic Flo, and LeafBlaster Pro — attach to the front lip of your gutter without disturbing the roofing.

Do you replace just the bad sections? +

Yes. If your gutters are mostly fine but a few sections are sagging, leaking, or pulled away, we can replace just those runs. Note that mixing old and new gutters means slight color and profile differences over time — most homeowners prefer to do all-at-once.

What if my fascia is rotted underneath the existing gutters? +

Very common with old open gutters. We can replace fascia and soffit at the same time as the gutter install, while everything's already off the house. Cheaper than coming back for a separate carpentry project — and a smart pairing with new gutters anyway.

How long do seamless gutters last? +

Aluminum seamless gutters typically last 20+ years in NC's climate, often longer with proper guards installed. The hangers and fasteners are usually what fail first. Our hidden-hanger system + 6" capacity means fewer stress points than legacy spike-mounted 5" runs.

Can I finance gutters? +

Yes — through our financing partner Hearth. Most homeowners who pair gutters + roof do one combined financed project. See financing options here.
