What We Don't Do

Honest talk · before the consultation. So nothing is awkward later.

We don't underbid by cutting corners

Not on flashing, not on underlayment, not on labor. Specialty roofs fail at the details, not the field. If our quote is higher than another, ask the other contractor where they're saving money — then read their warranty language.

We don't pressure-sell

If a standard architectural shingle is the right answer for your home and budget, we'll tell you that — even though it's a smaller ticket. The wrong material on the right home is still the wrong roof.

We don't claim certifications we don't hold

Premium Roof FAQ

Common questions before the consultation.

How much more does Westlake / Euroshield / cedar shake cost vs. standard asphalt? +

Premium roof systems typically run 2–4× the cost of architectural asphalt shingles, depending on complexity, roof size, and current material pricing. We'll give you an exact written quote — no rough "ballparks" that double at signing.

Are these covered by insurance for storm replacement? +

Often yes — especially if your existing roof is the same material. Insurance generally replaces "like for like." We document everything carefully so the claim reflects the real material on the home.

Do you do partial / accent installations? +

Yes. Copper bay roofs, dormer accents, porch roofs in cedar or copper while the main roof stays asphalt — these are common premium-detail projects.

Are these systems good for insurance discounts? +

Westlake Steel and Euroshield are both excellent FORTIFIED candidates. A FORTIFIED-rated roof can save $500–$1,500/year on premiums with many NC carriers.

How long does a specialty install take? +

1–3 days for most residential projects, vs. 1 day for asphalt. Specialty materials require more careful flashing, underlayment prep, and finish work — that's where the longevity comes from.

What if I want to compare systems before deciding? +

That's exactly what the consultation is for. We bring physical samples, project photos, and a candid conversation about which system fits your home, your budget, and your goals.

Do you waive deductibles on insurance jobs? +

No. NC law (N.C.G.S. § 58-2-161) makes that insurance fraud — a Class H felony, with potential prison time and civil penalties under N.C.G.S. § 75-1.1 as well. Your deductible is yours to pay. We help you maximize your legitimate claim — that's the whole job.

Bring us the home. We'll bring the samples.
